1) Thunder & Lightning are always playing concerts! They're so fun and cheap, and you really should get to one. This time they're at Pianos on the LES, along with Echo-Friendly, Emil & Friends, and Fort Lean. $8, 8p (Thunder & Lightning goes on at 11). For mp3s, check out this post.
More after the jump
2) Jezebel is hosting a clothing swap. Free drinks and free clothes = I'm there. Anything that doesn't get taken will be donated. 6-9p, Gawker Media Roof Deck (210 Elizabeth St, 4th floor).
3) I mentioned this before: IndieScreen Cinema Club's grand opening at 6:30p, 289 Kent Ave. in Williamsburg. Free cinema, music, drinks, and hor d'oeuvres. RSVP to rsvp@indiescreen.com. You might want to bring the downloadable invite, too.
4) This is gonna be insane: Vice.com party at Skylight One Hanson (1 Hanson Pl., Brooklyn). Live music includes A-Track, Rick Ross, DFA 1979, Tanlines, Black Lips, and maybe more? Looks like there'll be free drinks too. RSVP, and for the love of it, get there early. Check out My Free Concert for a link to win guaranteed entry.
5) Emerald Couture event at The Hole (312 Bowery). Free vodka and art/performances of some sort, 6-10p. RSVP to rsvp@dirtydurty.com.

6) Show and Tell at the City Reliquary (370 Metropolitan Ave., Brooklyn) is back! It's an open mic where anyone can bring something to talk about for three minutes/just listen. Doors at 7p, starts at 8p, suggested $5 donation. The City Reliquary is also a community museum, so you can wander around beforehand.
7) Go see the movie Hair for free in Washington Square Park. Part of a free series put on by the Parks Departmanet and IFC. Sundown, etc. Watching a movie where it was filmed? Fantastic.
8) As part of the Brooklyn Book Festival kickoff, Bushwick Book Club is presenting Songs of Literature at Goodbye Blue Monday (1087 Broadway, Brooklyn). Besides the appropriately named venue, a bunch of musicians are telling the stories behind and performing songs inspired by literature. 8p, free.
10) Last is BriTANick's sketch comedy show at UCB (W. 26th St) at 9:30p. As of yesterday evening, reservations weren't sold out ($5, pay at the door). I cannot recommend this enough.
