A couple CMJ RSVPs

I'm not going to aim to post all of the cheap/free concerts going on for the CMJ festival, but I recommend both My Free Concert and Oh My Rockness if you want to be thorough about your planning. Most events you don't have to RSVP for to get in cheap or free, but here are a couple that you do:

1) The POPSHOP series by Neon Gold Records at Tammany Hall (152 Orchard St.). This showcase features Brite Futures, Xaphoon Jones (of Chiddy Bang), Electric Guest, Fallulah, and others. Plus a free Absolut open bar from 7-8p. RSVP to RSVP@Neongoldrecords.com. 10.20, 7p-4a.

2) Okay, so this isn't a concert per se, but if you're a guitar player and not lactose intolerant, it seems like a good one. Stompbox exhibit at the Living Room (Googie's Lounge section, 154 Ludlow St.), 10.21, 11am-7:00p.  There will be many different pedal boards to fool around with, and free grilled cheese sandwiches and drink specials starting at 1:30p.
