SushiSamba and Village Pourhouse/Little Town NYC/SideBAR discounts

Well here are two deals on different ends of the intimidatingly-chic spectrum:

- Amazon is getting into the daily deal game? I'm on board. This one ends very soon, but you can pay $10 for $20 at Village Pourhouse (64 Third Avenue, 366 W. 46th St., or Amsterdam and 109th), SideBAR (118 E. 15th St.), or Little Town NYC (focuses on food and drink sourced from NY; 118A E. 15th Street). Apparently they're all owned by the same group. Pretty damn convenient.

- This month, trendy Japanese-Brazilian-Peruvian restaurant SushiSamba will have a Brazilian happy hour from 4-7p M-F at both of their locations (245 Park Avenue South; 87 Seventh Avenue South). $6 bar food such as coconut scallop ceviche and short rib trouxinhas, $6 fancy cocktails (worth it), and exotic beers for $5. Free Matt & Kim concert, free smartphones?

For all I know this is already full, but you're going to want to check it out. Matt & Kim are playing two free concerts (11.7 and 11.8 at 6p) at the Altman Building (135 W. 18th Street). For out-of-towners, it looks like there are similar events in other cities. It's a bitch that you have to use Facebook Connect to RSVP, but guys, it's a free Matt & Kim concert. In case you didn't get in on the Remy Martin event before it filled up, Tullamore Dew is holding a bunch of tasting parties soon. You can register for the event on 11.14, 11.15, or 11.16. All run 7-11p and are located at Center548 (548 W. 22nd St.). Not that I'm complaining about the bevy of recent scotch events, but I'm more of an Irish whiskey girl, so this is exciting.

Black Board Eats has 30% off Red Hook Lobster Pound posted. Before you scoff at only "30% off", keep in mind that once you've registered, the pass code is free. Black Board Eats tends to post more high-scale restaurants than other deal sites, and I don't believe Yip It covers them. So you should sign up (they don't come out with a deal every day, so your inbox won't be bombarded with junk).

1) Blackboard Eats is giving out codes for 30% off buzzy gastropub Mary Queen of Scots (115 Allen St.). They have a limited number of passcodes, so get on it. 

2) The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and the Food Network have set up shop at the Slice (Little W. 12th St. at Gansvoort Plaza) from today through 10.3. A bunch of free food-related events are going on, which also means free tastings.

- Stop by every morning 11a-1p for free illy espresso and samples of "morning juice mixology" (don't worry, non-alcoholic).

- Friday 9.30 kickoff with a Wicked Spoon buffet (free small plates) from 6-9p.

- Sunday 10.2 Zagat is hosting a free olive oil tasting at 1p (limited seating).

Heidi's House

Another good place 50% off on ScoutMob: Heidi's House (308 E. 78th St.). I've heard good things about this place from friends, especially about their macaroni. Also, they serve my favorite beer (Left Handed Brewing Co. Milk Stout), which I don't find most places. Good low-key local bar with decent food.

Cheap and Free Food

A couple of online deals:

1) 50% off Blue Dog Cafe (101 W. 25th St.) from Scoutmob. I'm posting this because I don't see deals in Chelsea very often, and this place looks good for a pleasant lunch or dinner, and it's open until midnight.

2) Groupon has a deal for tacos and/or enchiladas at Oaxaca, which I've heard is good. You can use this at any of their three locations (Boerum Hill, Gowanus, or near the Bowery). $6 for 3 tacos/enchiladas OR $10 for 6 OR $20 for a football party platter. It'll be gone late tomorrow.

3) GrubHub's Digital Food Fest is happening 9.21-10.14, and a bunch of different restaurants are participating in daily delivery deals. Yesterday, Peanut Butter & Co. delivered two of their sandwiches for 1 penny each. From 12-10p today, Katz's deli will deliver either a corned beef or pastrami sandwich for $10 to the first 200 customers (these are normally a lot more expensive. And they're huge). Check Facebook for the full schedule and delivery zones.

Stuff your face

Two great deals today, and one works out of town:

1) $10 for $20 to Whole Foods at Living Social. This is one of the rare deals that you can use over multiple visits.

2) Again Scoutmob: free 50% off Tree Bistro (190 1st Avenue). I went here with a Buy With Me voucher a while ago, but this is free! The flat breads were delicious, and they have a pleasant garden out back. Get it before it disappears at midnight.

- Google Offers (yes, this is a thing now) is hawking $10 at Murray's Bagels for $5. This is only good at the Chelsea location, but it doesn't expire until February 19, 2012. And man are Murray's bagels goood (and kind of expensive with cream cheese and lox), so this one is worth it.

- Scout Mob will send you a coupon code for 50% off the Williamsburg restaurant The Lodge. Normally I only get these deals when I've heard of the place before, but the photo reminds me of Kayak's in St. Louis. It seems like it'd be place that has good brunch. Oh, and did I mention the Scout Mob deals are always free? As in, you don't have to pay anything to get a 50% off coupon, which you may or may not (but should!) use. Another perk: Scout Mob will send you the deal either via e-mail or text (even if you have a dumb phone).
